Visual Artist

My name is Eduardo Lacerda, and I'm a visual artist and researcher. My current artistic approach intersect with my academic research about perception of time.

My plastic work operates alongside my own personal questions and passions. On the one hand, the process of creating my drawings is akin to surrealist automatic writing, i.e. my graphic compositions come to life as I slide my pen across the paper. On the other hand, the videographic practice, accompanied by the use of photographs, discusses the individual's perception of the passage of time. A new reality is presented to the viewer, offering them a new opportunity to perceive and experience the passing of minutes.
